This week, we had a lot of fun exploring patterns around us. We went on a tour around our new class and found lots of cool patterns. The idea this week is to look around and understand what a pattern is - it is something that is repeated again and again.

Miss.Myshi "I found some patterns - can you guess?"

Aly: "Look I find a pattern here - yellow dots!"

Chay: "Is this a pattern?"

Hmm looks like someone made the cars into a pattern.

Chay: "I found one, I found one!"

Kairy and Rei "Look this one is brown and white!"

Rolly: "I see pattern here ... red and white"

Chay: "How about this one too?"

Rei and Taechou: "Green white"

We also did a fun project using natural materials!
We enjoyed exploring our classroom as well!

Geo: "I want to make green red green red"

Rei: "Look what I made ... flower!"

Kairi: "My flower has purple green pattern"

"Look what I made!"

Aly: "I want to take a picture to show mummy and daddy... this one is a green brown pattern cake!"

Kairi: "I want to take a picture to show mummy daddy too! Look this is a happy face"
In the end, we produced some beautiful flower mandalas.
As a home activity, you can show your child this blog and ask them to recognise which mandala is theirs. Ask them to describe their pattern to you :)
