Phonics and Writing in RM this week

This week, we focussed on revising 'e' and 'n'. We also learnt two new sounds; 'j' and 'k'. First, we practiced sounds by playing the fly bingo game. The teacher makes the sound and the children have to find the sound and cover it quickly. It was a game to see who could cover everything first!

We also reviewed our sounds by doing the 'letter jump' game. The kids loved this!

Finally, we attempted blending words on the blending line. 

We practiced writing too. The kids enjoyed writing 'n' but needed reminders on keeping the line short (else it looked like 'h'). And 'j' needed a bit of practice too.
