Dear Parents,
Learning Journey Conferences are a wonderful opportunity for you and your child to discuss their progress and what they have explored over the past few months.
Each child is given a book for their year in reception to create a portfolio of their work documenting their learning development. Each book is unique and individualized according to the child’s choice. By creating their own book it gives them a sense of ownership of their own learning. Kru Noon and I have supported the making of the book by helping them choose the artwork they want to display.
For the Learning Journey Conferences we ask that you go through the pictures and pieces of work with your child and ask them what they remember. We added photographs and comments to describe your child’s learning processes based on their description and use of words.
Please feel free to ask for help if anything is unclear. There will be a guide in the beginning of the learning journey to give you an idea of what questions you may want to ask you child.
We hope you enjoy the Learning Journey Conference. Thank you for taking the time to come and for your continued support.

balls, watercolor, color mixing, ‘spinner painting’ using a salad spinner, and butterfly painting by folding a piece of paper with paint and creating a symmetrical print.
