KG - Summer Holiday activities

Dear Parents,

As the summer holidays are about to arrive this this email might be of help. Please find attached a pack of fun activities that you could do at home along with some websites that could benefit your child's learning. They may also give you a few minutes peace and quiet. There is no expectation that the activities are completed or the website used. These are merely suggestions if you are looking at ways to continue learning over the holidays.


Summer pack - attached: 
The attached document contains 37 activities that can be printed and completed. The activities involve matching upper and lower case, puzzle to help cutting control, pencil control, find the missing alphabet letter, ordering numbers, colouring, counting, sorting by shape and size, matching shapes, spot the difference and many more.  

Here are a number of websites that contain fun games and a learning opportunities over the summer.   

Mr. Thorne does Phonics
Not sure how to pronounce some of the letter sounds? Mr. Thorne has a series of videos you and your child can watch to hear the sounds used.   

Oxford Owl - Reading
Oxford Owl has over 250 FREE eBooks! You can enjoy these eBooks and activities with your child's favourite characters, such as Biff, Chip, Kipper and Floppy, the Project X team and Winnie the Witch.

Phonics Play
A variety of games to play online.
